Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo, since the 4th of April, has been bearing the brunt of heavy weather, leading to intense flooding and landslides across 13 out of 24 municipalities in the Kinshasa city area, along with other close regions/provinces.
Several piece of infrastructure were damaged or destroyed, important water supply has been cut off and multiple power outages were recorded. All in all, it is reported that severe storms and floods have led to 165 fatalities, 28 injured individuals, more than 7,000 displaced people
and a total of over 60,000 affected people across the Kinshasa capital city area, on top of displacing more than 10,000 people in the nearby province of Tanganyika as well.
